TAMPA, Fla. The New Orleans Saints face discipline again for violating the NFL’s policy on COVID-19, which contributed to one of their star players becoming infected, and the penalty is probably the largest for their third. offensive, say sources.
Alvin Kamara, who is running back, tested positive for COVID-19 and missed the team’s week 17 match after an interaction in the facility with a person who was not employed at the club, and who turned out to be positive – a violation captured on the surveillance video obtained by the NFL by sources.
Several other Saints fullbacks also missed the Week 17 game because they are considered close contact with high risks, and Kamara was only able to return for the game card round due to a favorable schedule decision.
The Saints were previously fined $ 250,000 and coach Sean Payton fined $ 100,000 for not wearing proper face masks in Week 2.
Although the discipline in this case has not yet been finalized – and it could be reduced if the Saints issue fines for offenders internally, it could eventually include multiple and / or higher draft choices and an even larger fine.
