New Moto Wear OS Watch with Snapdragon 4100 Appears

Last week it turned out that there are more smartwatches coming from Moto this year. An investor listing showed three emerging Wear OS devices from Moto, but a fourth wanting to use the Snapdragon Wear 4100 was also subtly displayed.

According to a product card for 2021, a “Moto G Smartwatch” will arrive in June, while July will see the “Moto Watch” and “Moto One”. The presentation contains clock images throughout, also on the second page.

Some have now noticed that the outer ring of this nameless watch – after various visual adjustments – says “Snapdragon Wear 4100.”

The contemporary Moto 360 is printed with ‘Wear 3100’ in a different position, while this mysterious white watch also notices the standard presence of GPS, NFC and gives an ATM’s water resistance rating which can be a ‘3’ or ‘5’ as some have speculated.

The heart rate sensor mostly looks the same, but the bottom is transparent to reveal a charging coil which means Moto can move from pogo pins to wireless power. Other small adjustments see the crown with vertical – instead of curled – grooves, while there are visible screws that fasten the watch straps.

We see the two adaptations of another white Wear OS watch at the end of this presentation. It’s presumably the same Snapdragon Wear 4100 device, but from the front. This shot is interesting enough with ‘2020102301.’

This device, if we assume that it is genuine and not just a version, does not appear in the upcoming road map – those three products have no printed, circular buttons. As such, the watch we see may be a sequel to the Moto 360 and, as an existing product, may not be considered part of the slide.

There is only one Wear 4100 watch on the market today with the latest Fossil offerings still in use from the 3100. When this device comes into its own, Moto adds the necessary choice and competition to the Wear OS space. It is not clear when this possible successor to Moto 360 will be launched.
