Marvel’s Avengers players received a new update this week that should improve performance and fix issues that cause players’ games to crash. The same update added a notification that will alert players if their drivers are out of date, which could lead to game issues. Unfortunately for those who play on consoles, the update is only available for the computer platform via Steam, so there is no update on more platforms to talk about this time.
The patch notes for the V1.4.1.26 update were shared by the game’s community page on Steam to describe exactly what was different after the patch release. From a quick glance at the patch notes, it’s much more an update to the household that solves issues players experience as opposed to any meaty update with new features to check. For those who experience problems outlined in the notes, this is welcome.

- Stability and performance improvements, this solution fixes some reports of the DEVICE_HUNG crash.
- NVIDIA DLSS in Marvel’s Avengers now supports Dynamic Resolution Scaling (DRS). When DRS is enabled with DLSS, DLSS dynamically adjusts the resolution of the version to deliver maximum image quality while maintaining the target frame rate.
- When you set the settings at the beginning of the game, or when you reset the settings to the default, the game will now set default settings that are better adapted to your machine. The selected output resolution takes into account your GPU power, Dynamic Resolution Scaling is set at 60 fps on sufficient hardware and DLSS will be enabled by default on all hardware it supports.
- The game warns players on NVIDIA hardware with drivers older than 461.09 to upgrade. These drivers contain solutions that are important for the good performance and stability of Marvel’s Avengers.
Marvel’s Avengers players on all platforms have a Hawkeye War Table opportunity to look forward to coming soon to share more information on the next DLC. To help keep players up to date, Crystal Dynamics is offering a free Kate Bishop bundle that players can use.
