New Mario Party apparently in development at Nintendo

Nintendo seems to be in the early stages of working on a new one Mario Party games. This upcoming installment would be the first since 2018’s release Super Mario Party and it looks like it will also be developed by the same studio.

This information comes from a new post via social media where it is said that the developer NDcube is looking for a new post Mario Party. NDcube is the studio that was previously worked on Super Mario Party among other games such as Mario Party 10, Animal crossing: pocket camp, en Clubhouse Games: 51 World Classics. The post asks those interested to work on the next game in the series to join the larger team at NDcube.

As a whole, this information should not be considered shocking in several respects. Since NDcube worked on the Mario Party series across multiple entries and platforms, it’s pretty clear they’ll get the call again to work on the next iteration of the series once Nintendo gives the green light. In addition, the fact that Nintendo wants even more Mario Party to get into the future is just obvious. Super Mario Party on Nintendo Switch sold incredibly well for the publisher, meaning it was only a matter of time until a sequel was developed.

As NDcube still clearly wants to work towards making staff for this Mario Party game, it may take a while before we reveal the game. It’s also worth noting that NDcube itself has been working on mobile titles as well, so maybe it’s not a conclusion that this future title will come standard with the Switch.

Regardless of what the future may hold, but more Mario Party seems to be something you can plan on. When the future title in the series is released, we’ll let you know here on ComicBook.com, of course. Until then, you can follow all our coverage regarding Nintendo here.
