A new Mario game for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and possibly the Super Switch, may have just leaked, or at least that’s what Nintendo fans think just happened. Nintendo has not shared what it has in store for 2021, but many expect many games to have a somewhat quiet 2020, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Bayonetta 3, and possibly even Mario Kart 9. That said, in addition to these games, plus a few others like Metroid Prime 4, Nintendo fans are now looking forward to a sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, 2017’s turn-based strategy game from Ubisoft that takes the world of Mario with the world of Rabbids.
Speculation about the sequel to the 2017 hit comes on Twitter and follows Rabbids’ official report changing from “@RabbidsOfficial” to “@MarioRabbids”. At the moment, it is unclear why Ubisoft and Nintendo made this change, but it indicates not only a sequel, but also a possible impending announcement.
For now, it’s all just speculation, but as indicated by the speculation, it’s unclear what’s going on here. If it’s just a change for the sake of change, it’s a very, very random change.
Wow, apparently the Rabbids’ official report changed from @ / RabbidsOfficial to @mariorabbids!
Will we finally get the sequel from Mario Rabbids that we longed for?
Let’s hope! 😍🔥🎉#MarioRabbids # NintendoSwitch pic.twitter.com/2LM3QhRUaD

At the time of publication, no party involved – Ubisoft or Nintendo – has commented on the change and the speculation it has created, and it is unlikely that it will be at this stage as well. If one of the two does, we will update the story accordingly. In the meantime, if you are a fan of the above 2017 game.
