New Infinite Halo Details Divide Xbox Fans

A metric ton of Halo Infinite details have been revealed, some of whom are excited about Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC players, but some players are looking forward to the new Halo game less excited. As for the details – which come on the way to a new question and answer with 343 Industries developers – it varies from game to story, and some of them are brand new, while others have been updated on existing information.

One of the new details is that there will be a day and night cycle in play, as well as a weather system that includes things like windstorms, but not rainstorms or snowstorms, although 343 Industries bothers that it may come in the future. Binding to this, what enemies you encounter and how they behave will depend on the time of day.

Complementing this is wildlife, but currently there is no hostile wildlife. Of course, wildlife will vary between different biomes. According to 343 Industries, the “Pacific Northwest” is the primary biome, but subbiomes will add different environments such as swamps and war root areas.

That said, exploring these areas will be limited in part because it is not a true open world game. Missions, however, allow for different approaches due to the open-world-like design. And to that end, you can stray from the path and explore different side content and objectives. The main story is the main story and must be completed, but there is freedom between these missions.

Other details include a word without doubles, no playable Elites, audio logs, the ability to repel things from Zeta Halo, random encounters, bases / outposts and dynamic tracks that respond and change depending on the time of day, again and what weapons you hold.

Finally, players can only hold one piece of equipment in Multiplayer. Once you use it, it’s gone. However, there are plans to allow players to change this via personal games.

In general, these are all the most important details that are shared. However, if you would like more information, click here. That said, and as noted, players are divided on these details, at least on Reddit. One of the best remarks, for example, is to get excited about having to hit Zeta Halo off the sidelines. However, another comment gives disappointment about the lack of biomes and weather variants. And of course, while many of the details above are exciting, so far many of the takeaways have been the lack of double and playable Elites.

Halo Infinite will be released worldwide later this year via the Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
