343 Industries unveils a selection of new screenshots for Halo Infinite, giving fans an idea of what the revamped game will look like.
343 Industries showcased a handful of brand new screenshots and concept artwork Halo Infinite, and it shows a lot of promise in the graphics section to former fans of disappointment and setbacks. The long-awaited game was originally a launch title for the Xbox Series X / S, but was delayed from November 2020 to the fall of 2021 after its unveiling received much negative feedback. Microsoft believes the game has been delayed to give the developer time to get the game up and running to ensure it meets high quality standards.
To ensure that Halo Infinite 343 Industries reportedly got a helping hand from one of Microsoft’s other first-party studios. According to an insider, The Coalition Halo developer, with several employees at the Gears of war work they completed on both Rat 5 and Halo: Infinite. However, it is unclear exactly what assistance The Coalition provided or what impact these developers had on the final final product.

In a new Halo Waypoint post, 343 Industries gave an update on the state of Halo Infinite and displays some new screenshots in the engine. The images themselves come from a build up of the game for a computer, but they look very impressive. In fact, these news screenshots look almost like a new game compared to what fans saw during the official unveiling last year. Most of the images included in the post, some of which are embedded below, give an idea of how more of Halo Infinite‘s Zeta Halo environment looks and feels like it’s a “time of day“Lighting system that will give different areas very different moods, depending on when players visit each location. The screenshot of the campaign showing the game’s version of the iconic sniper rifle, meanwhile, speaks for itself.
In other recent Halo Infinite news, 343 Industries apparently teased some story elements from the upcoming game. Fans noticed an audio file that teased the fact that Cortana would be the main villain in the sequel. This indicates that the game is a direct follow-up to the events of Halo 5: Guardians, rather than a full recharge as some have indicated in the past.
See the latest Halo Infinite screenshots are definitely reassuring to fans who have been worried since they last saw the title last year during its disastrous unveiling. The quality of these images seems to be much higher than before, showing that 343 Industries has worked hard to improve the imagery of the game.
Halo Infinite will be available for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC in the fall of 2021.
