New guilty equipment strives for high level for Ky, Sol, Axl

Guilty Gear Strive is the next core entry in Arc System Works’ groundbreaking fighting game series, and it continues to merge the franchise of smooth anime-style images and heavy metal-applied action. Ahead of the upcoming beta game of the fighting game starting later this month on February 17, GameSpot has released an exclusive new game featuring some high-level games featuring Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske and Axl Low. In these battles we also get a first look at the specific super-movement of each character, which leans heavily in their fighting style and personality.

The first game features Axl Low fighting the shadow-manipulative hunter, Zato-1. In this game, Axl uses his chained blades to keep his enemy at a distance, and when Zato-1 is vulnerable, Axl unleashes his One Vision special attack (Import – 214214 + HS). This is a move that freezes the opponent in a timely manner so that you can lie in them with the attack. This special step can also be canceled, allowing you to unlock the skill and surprise your enemies with other attacks immediately afterwards.

In the next game we see Ky Kiske face one of Strive’s newest fighters named Nagoriyuki. While Ky Kiske was one of the heroic characters from the series, he has a slightly darker lead in Guilty Gear Strive. His new special move in this game is the Dragon Install (Input – 214214 + HS, when they have poor health). Similar to Sol Badguy’s ability, Dragon Install will intensify Ky Kiske’s attacks. Upon activation, it will trigger a shock wave that could hit your enemy.

Finally, we have the anti-hero of the series, Sol Badguy, against Zato-1. As in previous games, Sol is a powerhouse that can move fast. He can cover the distance quickly and inflict heavy damage, and this is what his latest super movement in Guilty Gear Strive is all about. If you activate Sol’s Heavy Mob Cemetery (input – 214214 + HS), the warrior will transform into a human dragon hybrid form that can inflict great damage on enemies. This step is ideal for blocking enemies who strike, who like to concentrate on keep-away tactics, and given its fast speed, it can quickly surprise enemies.

With the launch of the beta this month, we have a lot more to see from Arc System Works’ latest fighting game. For more information on Guilty Gear Strive, be sure to check out GameSpot as more details appear here.
