This is an exciting time for Forza Motorsport, as Microsoft’s sim racing franchise prepares for a reload and its first installment on the Xbox Series X and S generation consoles. Although there is no indication yet that the game will be released in 2021, developer Turn 10 Studios unveiled on Wednesday that it will soon present a “part” of the upcoming project to play testers in the Forza panel.

To check yourself, you need to tune in to the Feedback Panel of Turn 10. Registration is fast and can be done within a few minutes this basic survey, although it is unclear when invitations will go out. The official Forza Motorsport Twitter originally said that participants had already started receiving invitations clarified later it hasn’t really happened yet, and players would get their chance “soon”.

The creative director, Chris Esaki, at the age of 10, unveiled the initiative during a Forza Monthly stream. Esaki says Turn 10 did weekly play tests in Xbox Game Studios, but now feels the time is right to extend it to the community:

‘The new news today is that we will soon be able to share with our people in our Forza panel. They will actually be able to get their hands on some of our new Forza Motorsport games. So if you’re part of the Forza panel – recommend if you’re not yet in the Forza panel – the only way to get your hands on this part of the new Forza Motorsport title should be part of the panel.

‘We will continue to plan these types of tests as we continue in the coming months, and will get more and more people from the community to enjoy this experience. So come back to the Forza panels, and you can see the new or part of the new. Forza Motorsport. ”

Esaki says the development approach of Turn 10 with this upcoming entry is nothing short of what the team has done before. It is not yet outwardly clear; of course we only saw one short trailer inside the engine of the title so far dating from last summer.

Around the same time, Dan Greenawalt, the leading creative force behind the franchise, published a blog mainly to discuss the upcoming game’s technical chops, including its support for ray tracing – although he did not tell us anything specific about the game’s structure.

Judging by the focus on team marks and garage action in the teaser footage, it appears that Turn 10 is a more authentic motorsport experience this time around. This may deviate from the standard “motor PG” direction of Forces past, and of course main line Great tourism games.

Even the game’s name has not been confirmed at this time. Esaki refers to it as the “new Forza Motorsport, ”Match the simplified title and new logo shown in the trailer. If this is truly the reload of Microsoft’s sim racing franchise that many fans suspect, a non-numbered entry will convey that new ambition. Thanks to this testing program, it looks like we will all sooner or later get a better idea of what exactly Turn 10 is planning.
