New eligibility for vaccine COVID-19 begins on March 22

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – Governor Steve Sisolak announced new eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine at a news conference on Wednesday, March 17th.

“The end is in sight. Nevada, we can do it, we can do it together. ”

From 22 March 2021, all Nevadans 16 and older with underlying health conditions will be eligible to receive the vaccine.

“Vaccination opportunities for this group of Nevadans will be available through the retail pharmacy program,” Governor Sisolak said.

Started 5 April 2021 everyone Nevadans 16 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine.

Government Sisolak added: “By being eligible for all Nevadans 16 and older on April 5, it means families, friends and colleagues can seek this opportunity together to address access and hesitation.”

The current vaccine admission is set out in the state’s COVID-19 vaccine playbook.

Asked about the demand for vaccines during the opening of the fitness window, Governor Sisolak said residents should continue to show up for appointments and that he praised provinces for shooting people in the arms.

He said at present, 1 in 4 of Nevada’s eligible population has received the vaccine.

“State and local partners are working to ensure that we put as many doses in our arms every day as possible,” Gov. Sisolak said.

The governor concludes his speech with a plea to Nevadans: “Once you are available for the vaccine, make the appointment.”
