New coach Robert Saleh is already a hit with the Jets

Two of the Jets’ biggest and youngest stars are in ecstasy over the team’s new head coach.

Shortly after it was announced that 49ers defense coordinator Robert Saleh had been appointed to take over the Jets, defensive linebacker Quinnen Williams and offensive linebacker Mekhi Becton expressed their full support for the move.

“YESSS SIRRRRRRRRRRR,” Williams wrote on Twitter, along with praying hands, bowing and fire emoji.

Becton delivered a similar message and wrote: “YESSSS SIRRRRR !!!!! LET US COACH !!!!! He also included a GIF of someone pumping fist of excitement.

Williams comes off with a successful second season with the Jets and looks like a cornerstone of the defense. Becton has received much praise as a rookie who protects Sam Darnold and could be the anchor of the attacking line for years to come.

The 41-year-old Salah on his way to the Jets, who finished 2-14, received approval from former Jet Damien Woody, who is also an ESPN analyst.

“The first time in a while that I feel the #Jets are really on the right track,” Woody tweeted.

49ers safety Richard Sherman, was also a fan of the step.

‘The @nyjets got an amazing one! Congratulations to them! ”The Pro Bowler posted on Twitter.

He also made a brave prediction in a text to Albert Breer, NFL reporter.

“Good pick up!” Sherman wrote. “He’s going to turn the whole culture around!”

According to Breer, 49ers general manager John Lynch called Saleh “a very gifted leader” and said the Jets were “very happy”.
