A new community health clinic that specializes in treating patients recovering from COVID-19 abortions in Jackson Heights.
The new clinic, located at 37-50 72nd St., is designed to meet the needs of coronavirus patients recovering. The facility, which has 26,000 staff members and accounts with 15 specialist physicians, will begin receiving patients this week.
“We are sorry to open this Center of Excellence in the queens of Queens as part of our compromise to regress this pandemic more than ever,” said Alcalde Bill de Blasio during the inauguration.
The clinic is one of the three “COVID-19 Excellence Centers” of NYC Health + Hospitals in the process of opening. The others are located in Bushwick, Brooklyn and Tremont, El Bronx.

“People in the city have been most affected at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic by the Elmhurst, Corona and Jackson Heights communities, the epicenter of this crisis of public health and precedents”, said the president of the union Queens, Donovan Richards.
“The new COVID-19 Center of Excellence in Jackson Heights will bring to Queens residents the critical attention that COVID-19 needs to recover,” he added.
