Netflix unveils first look at Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio in Don’t Look Up

Netflix on Tuesday unveiled their massive 2021 film, consisting of 70 original films, including a first look at the biggest of the year, Don’t Look Up.

The streaming service unveiled a preview of their film slates featuring footage of several of their new projects, ending with the first look at Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio in Don’t Look Up.

The project is still being filmed, led by writer-director Adam McKay (vice, The Big Short), though Netflix has not announced when they want to release it.

The short track (which starts at the 2:14 point of the video above) shows the character of JLaw, Kate Dibiasky, and dr. Randall Mindy of Leonardo DiCaprio.

They are both seen on the edge of an empty cargo plane holding their own pockets as the bay doors begin to open.

Mindy, jet black hair and beard with wire-rimmed glasses, shoots a nervous look at Dibasky, a redhead with a nostril, who looks calm as it may be.

The preview ends with both characters getting off the plane, which is probably the last preview we will see in a long time.

The story follows Dibiasky and Mindy, who are described as ‘two low-level astronomers’ who have the task of undertaking a ‘giant media tour to warn humanity of an impending comet that will destroy planet Earth’.

While we only see Lawrence and DiCaprio in the short footage, they lead an ensemble cast filled with talent.

Here we come: the sneak peek ends with both characters getting off the plane, which will probably be the last sneak peek we will see for some time.
