Netflix postpones Love, Death and Robots’ season two and releases a third season

Love, death and robots returns to Netflix on May 14 for “Volume 2”, according to a new trailer the company released today. The science fiction anthology series originally debuted in 2019 and was renewed the same year for more episodes. Now Netflix is showing with a new bundle of episodes and teasing more for 2022.

The joy of a good anthology in the animation is the quality of the grip bag – to experience a variety of stories, made in different styles. The original trailer for Love, death and robots played the frenetic, overstimulating feeling sometimes associated with “the future”, but Volume 2 seems to take a different turn, focusing on the drama and seriousness of the stories of these new episodes and the trailer with a clip obtained from the horror film Erflik.

If there was a hint of the previous season, there are of course some misses mixed in with the hits, but it looks like an interesting collection of episodes. In the episodes, all sorts of wild things are explored, such as alien space whales, stop-motion Christmas, a giant foot and the above-mentioned dog acrobat.

A striking unknown is whether Netflix will test the A / B series, showing the episodes in different order to see who gets the most clicks. The company tested four different delivery orders with the first season, something he would never admit if he was not initially accused of being sexually oriented. The specific claim about Netflix considering sexuality was denied by the company and never independently confirmed.

Love, death and robots Part 2 premieres on May 14th. Netflix says a third volume will arrive in 2022 for a while.
