In today’s TV news round, Netflix announced the premiere of ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’, and Showtime set the premiere for Ziwe’s new variety show.
CASTING
Rebbi Rosie, Keiynan Lonsdale and Enrique Murciano joined Starz”Step upSeries, while Terayle Hill was regularly promoted to the series, and he will occupy his role as Marquise in the coming season. The new cast members join Christina Milian and Ne-Yo in the series inspired by the “Step Up” Lionsgate movie franchise. It centers around Ne-Yo as Sage Odom, the legendary founder of the famous High Water Performing Art School in Atlanta, whose legacy and ventures are threatened by a dark secret. Rosie plays Angel, a Brit who has disappeared from the underworld of London’s organized crime families to prove she’s one of the world’s best dancers; Lonsdale takes over the role from Tal, originally played by Petrice Jones, the lead dancer for Sage’s billion dollar tour, and Murciano plays Cruz, an ambitious lawyer who works out his place among high-professional, celebrity lawyers by defending Sage against a murder charge.
Rome Flynn, Aubriana Davis, Tracey Bonner and Josh Ventura has joined the cast of Netflixse “Raising DionFor Season 2. Flynn will play the title Dion (Ja’Siah Young) coach and mentor Tevin Wakefield; Davis will be 15-year-old Janelle Carr, with Bonner playing her mother Simone Carr, and Ventura is David Marsh, the new vice president of operations for BIONA, the local biotechnology company appearing at the show. Production of the second season of eight episodes is currently underway in Atlanta, Ga. The series is based on the cartoon of Dennis Liu and executive producer by showrunner Carol Barbee, Michael B. Jordan, Kenny Goodman, Liu, Michael Green, Darren Grant, Charles D. King, Poppy Hanks and Marta Fernandez.

The second season of Showtimese “Couple therapyPremiere on April 18 by 22:00. More than nine episodes, Dr Orna Guralnik offers an inner, intricate look at her weekly therapy sessions over the course of eight months. The new season presents three new couples and sheds light on the problems of confinement at home due to the closure of COVID-19. It contains the unplanned pregnancy of a single mother who has to decide if the father is the man she wants to be with; a young gay couple struggles with the trauma and consequences of almost fatal alcoholism and a woman confronts her husband because she did not want to live the life she wanted. Showtime also shared that “ZiwePremiere on May 9 by 23:00. The new series, starring and executive producer by comedian Ziwe, features six episodes and includes interviews, musical numbers, guest stars and sketches. Netflix announced that “Mormon Murder, “A three-part documentary on the Salt Lake City bombing in 1985 in which two people were killed and another seriously injured, sent shock waves by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will premiere. March 3. Ripples become stronger when a number of early Mormon letters and diaries are destroyed in the third victim’s vehicle, including the White Salamander Letter – a notorious artifact whose contents could threaten the foundations of Mormonism. “Murder Among the Mormons” is directed and performed by Jared Hess and Tyler Measom. Epix will premiere the documentary series “Val River“On May 16 by 22:00 Come from Blumhouse Television and Pyramid Productions, deals with the 1979 murders of three young women. Mattel, Inc. and Nickelodeon will produce a new animated series and live-action television film music based on ‘Monster High, ”The franchise about the children of famous monsters and creatures. It follows Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura and Frankie Stein as they navigate the hilarity of high school at Monster High. The show and live musical will premiere in 2022 and will be available worldwide on Nickelodeon platforms. The production for the series is supervised by Claudia Spinelli and Shea Fontana, while Zack Olin and Shauna Phelan will lead the production of the TV movie.

The Walt Disney Company appointed Susan Fox as senior vice president of government relations.
