Lincoln – The University of Nebraska men’s basketball program has disrupted full team activities due to positive COVID-19 results among its Tier 1 staff. Level 1 staff includes student-athletes, coaches and any staff member whose work requires regular close contact.
Due to the break, the Huskers’ home game against Illinois (Wednesday, January 13) was postponed. The institutions will work with the Big Ten Conference to identify options for rescheduling. At present, it has not been determined what impact the interruption may have on scheduled matches after 13 January.
Individuals who have tested positive are in isolation and follow all local health guidelines and Lancaster County. We will also perform all the necessary procedures contained in the Big Ten Conference Protocols. In line with all of our athletics programs, we report any positive test results to the University, and these are included in the daily reports to the Lancaster County Department of Health.
