When the Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV a few weeks ago, all their onslaughts came from players acquired at least in part because Tampa Bay had Tom Brady: Rob Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown.
Brown joined the Bucs in October and made a significant contribution to the eventual championship, scoring 45 passes for 483 yards with four touchdowns in the regular season. While missing the NFC Championship game with a knee injury, he made eight receptions for 82 yards and two TDs in the post-season – including his one-yard score while running the wrong route in the big game.
Buccaneers’ defensive line Ndamukong Suh was on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast this week and praised Brown for the way he handled himself in Tampa Bay. Suh remarked that he had known Brown for a while because they were connected via Nike.
‘Good guy, always had a good relationship with him. So it was easy for me, “said Suh. “It is clear that ‘BA’ [Bruce Arians] was very public with what his expectations were for AB, and he followed. So I give him all the credit for that. And I think that’s really all he needed was to understand what was expected of him. And that’s really what 90 percent of the people in the world are [want] – give me the expectations you need of me and then let me grow up. And it really is what he did. ”
Some people may disagree or not have set the expectations and then be treated like an adult keeping Brown in the news through the course of 2019. But whatever it is, Brown has been through the 2020 season with the Bucs and now he is a Super Bowl champion. .
