“NCIS: New Orleans” ends after season 7 on CBS, Variety confirmed it.
The final season scheduled for May 16 will now serve as the final series. At the time of the closing, the program will air 155 episodes.
“It was our sincere pleasure and honor to work for more than 150 deliveries on this program and with this incredible cast and crew,” said executive producers Christopher Silber and Jan Nash. “Just as disappointed as we see ‘NOLA’ end, we can not be proud of the work we have done, and we are grateful for the spectacular and resilient Crescent City that has embraced us for seven wonderful years.”
The news about the end of the program comes a day after it was reported that ‘NCIS: Hawaii’ was running on the CBS of Silber, Nash and ‘SEAL Team’ writer Matt Bosack. It was also reported earlier Wednesday that the CBS sitcom “Mom” will also end this season.
The series currently features Scott Bakula, Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Chelsea Field and CCH Pounder. Nash, Silber, Chad Gomez Creasey Ron McGhee, Stephanie Sengupta, Bakula and Mark Harmon are executive producers. Like all shows in the “NCIS” franchise, CBS Studios produces.

The “NCIS” franchise is one of the cornerstones of CBS, consisting of “New Orleans,” “NCIS” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Even in its 18th season, the mothership show remains one of the most watched televisions. The current season of the show averages 9.6 million viewers per episode in Live + the same day alone. ‘New Orleans’ currently averages 7.06 million viewers, according to Nielsen estimates as of February 7.
