The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will provide an update on the state’s COVID-19 vaccine supply on Tuesday.
A specific time for the announcement has not been announced.
The update will take place if eligible groups, who did not receive their first dose, express frustrations and clinics struggle to meet the demands.

On Monday, the Orange County Department of Health said the first doses in the clinic had run out, and it was not clear when they would get more from the state. Orange County sends out a notice, until the supply can be significantly increased, it can take weeks or even months before everyone is vaccinated in Phases 1 and 2.

In Cumberland County and Lee County, clinics are primarily open to those receiving their second dose of vaccine.
Other provinces, including Wake, have received fewer vaccines than they expected this week, delaying their vaccination process by appointment only.
In Durham, provincial leaders are preparing to add a new mass vaccination site to the distribution process, which has the capacity to vaccinate about 45,000 people a week.
Mass vaccination sites have already been set up in other parts of the state, including Charlotte and Greenville.
