NBA Rumors: Warriors’ Marquese Chriss is out for the season with a broken leg

It looks like the Warriors just can’t get a breather.

Golden State starts 0-2 and gets bad news as center Marquese Chriss will be out of the rest of the season with a broken right leg, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Sunday.

Chriss, 23, has revived his career since joining the Warriors last season and was part of a three-man center rotation that includes rookie James Wiseman and Kevon Looney.

In two games this season, Chriss averaged 6.5 points per game while shooting 35.7 percent off the floor.

With Chriss for the season, the Warriors will undoubtedly give Wiseman more minutes, as the rookie was the only bright spot in their 0-2 start.

The Warriors have now had four players ending the season for the past 18 months.
