NBA: LeBron James celebrates milestone on his 36th birthday

Not only did he score the highest score for the Los Angeles Lakers in a 121-107 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, but his 26 points was another milestone for James.
He has now played 1,000 consecutive games with a personal score of 10 points or more. The last time he scored a single-digit score was January 5, 2007, when he scored eight points against the Milwaukee Bucks.

James overtook Michael Michael in March 2018 to reach number one spot on the all-time list with 867 consecutive games of at least 10 points.

After the game, James shook his incredible head as he reached the milestone.

“I just go out and try to prepare myself every night and be the best when I walk on the floor,” he said.

“And when I’m in uniform, I have to do things to help our team win. If it’s to score, jump back, defend, help, do the little things, and just be available to my teammates through the course of the game when I’m on the floor and also on the bench.

“And I’ve had most of the luck doing that in my career. So I give a lot of credit to my teammates and my coaching staff that I’ve had throughout the course of my career that has allowed me to be who I am. and also allowed me to use my influence for the good of the team. ‘

Lakers forward Anthony Davis is also shaking his head in surprise over James’ score.

“It’s good because we know we can build a team and build our schemes out of it,” Davis said. “It’s good if you have a constant player, and it makes our job a lot easier.”

Point guard Dennis Schroder added, “He’s a hell of a teammate, a hell of a player, and he’s a legend.”

According to James, good food and wine were on the menu to conclude his birthday celebrations.

“I’m just back to the hotel. I had some wine waiting for me,” he said. “Probably my teammates will drop by, or there’s a meal room where we can have meetings, because we might sit down there and watch TV, drink good wine, and even have tequila tonight.”

James also referred to the brand tequila – “shouts out Lobos” – in which he invested earlier this year.

He even extended an invitation to reporters, saying: ‘We sit at the table for everyone when you want to join, make sure we keep our six feet apart so we do not get in trouble, but otherwise we can all get on grid each other. ‘
