2021 NBA All-Star starting votes previously were based on voting rights only. Fans have mostly been voted the best players in. However, they sometimes vote for an obscure veteran who does not deserve it.
Maybe that’s why the NBA is not just considering voting fans for All-Star beginners. Fans count only 50 percent of the vote. The players make up 25 percent and select media still have 25 percent. This makes the NBA All-Star starting voting process effective their version of ‘Electoral College’. Personally, I think the All-Star votes for the beginners should remain for fans only while coaches, players and media can determine the reserves. In my opinion, take the pleasure out of the mood.
Earlier today, the Washington Wizards guard was named as an appetizer because of his overall rankings. He led the supporter vote among the Eastern Conference guards with 3,485,051 votes. But he also led the player AND media voice!
Since the Wizards are not the most popular NBA team, we mostly hope for a ‘help’ from the players and / or media to help their players’ rankings. But this year, there was no doubt that Beal would be an appetizer in this game.
