A Miami Beach doctor, who died in January 16 days after receiving a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, has apparently succumbed to natural causes.
An autopsy on dr. Gregory Michael, 56, concluded that he was dying from complications of immune thrombocytopenia, a condition that prevents blood from clotting, and which can cause internal bleeding.
There is no medical certainty that the shot had anything to do with the condition, the Florida Department of Health determined in a joint investigation with the CDC, which checked samples from the autopsy.
Michael was an OB-GYN at Mount Sinai Medical Center when he bled and died on January 4th.
He received the Pfizer shot on December 18 and his wife said at the time that he had a “strong reaction to the COVID vaccine” three days later.
Blood vessels broke in his feet and hands and asked him to go to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with the condition.
Two weeks later, and despite treatment, he bled and died suddenly.
“Millions of people have been vaccinated to date,” Pfizer spokeswoman Jerica Pitts told The Post after Michael’s death.
‘And we keep an eye on all adverse events in individuals receiving our vaccine.
“It is important to note that serious side effects, including non-vaccine-related deaths, will unfortunately occur at a similar rate as in the general population.”
