My father feeds me

The son of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knew on his father’s spit with Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho after the Norwegian coach said he would not feed his son if he simulated an injury.

The series erupted after the Premier League 3-1 win for United on Sunday when Solskjaer senior criticized Spurs striker Son Heung-Min for exaggerating a blow to the face.

United rejected a goal after Son was apparently hit by Scott McTominay during the build-up, with Solskjaer saying afterwards that if his son, who plays for Kristiansund in his native Norway, would run off like Son did, he would not give food not him.

This led to an angry reaction from Mourinho, who said that Son’s father was a better father than Solskjaer, but Noah defended his father in the Tidens Krav, a local newspaper in Kristiansund.

“I’m always fed, I can assure you of that,” the 20-year-old midfielder told the newspaper with a smile, adding that his Norwegian team-mates teased him about the incident when he arrived for training on Monday and asked if he had had breakfast.

“I’ve never been lying like Son. Mourinho probably just wanted to take the focus away from the fact that they lost,” he said.
