Mustang Shelby GT350 and Bullitt End Production

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and the Ford Mustang Bullitt, two of the most distinctive decorations in the pony car’s range, officially ended production. A Ford spokesman confirmed Ford Authority On Sunday, both cars were placed on the field ‘late last year’, but did not share exact dates.

This news does not come as a surprise. Ford confirmed the death of the GT350 in October 2020, presumably to make way for the more powerful, more capable Shelby GT500 at the top of the Mustang range. And with the arrival of the Mach 1, the Bullitt was made redundant.

We’re going to miss these cars. The GT350 was a return to the dominance of the Shelby name, with an excellent chassis and a beautiful 526-hp V-8 engine with a flat crank that could turn up to 8250 rpm. And contributor Matt Farah calls the Bullitt, a tribute to the 1968 film of the same name, a car that “does not need nostalgia.”

With the next generation Mustang around the corner, we do not expect the GT350 name to remain dead for long. It will probably return in a similar track tool, although it is unclear at the moment whether the amazing 5.2 liter Voodoo engine will come with it. Only time will tell.
