Project Winter, a cruel survival / betrayal game of eight people set in the unforgiving snow wilderness, has been confirmed that a Switch release “will be available soon”. Other Ocean Interactive, also responsible for the 3DS Minecraft and the Wii U port of Costume Search 2, released the game on a PC in February 2019, and also just announced that the game will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at the end of January.
Like any survival game, Project Winter offers a very of horrific ways to die: killed by a bear, killed by a vicious elk, poisoned with berries, eaten by wolves and killed by a fellow teammate … who was a saboteur all along. With voice-based voice conversations, you want to make sure you do not stray alone, because your friends will not be able to hear you screaming for help if the traitors find you.

The developers have a roadmap for the game on their website, which calls ‘Port to Nintendo Switch’ something they want to complete in the future, so it’s unclear exactly how far they are in the porting process. The site lists the game as ‘coming soon’.
We have an update when we know the date. In the meantime, why not watch similar cold survival games, The long dark and The Red Lantern to practice your snow skills?
