Sheldon Adelson, magnate of the casinos and one of the most influential Republican donors in the EU, failed at 87 years old this month due to complications related to a cancer, informs this March on the company Las Vegas Sands.
Adelson, a taxi driver, built a global gaming empire with casinos in Macau, Singapore and Las Vegas (EEUU).
“Its impact on industry will last forever. Transforming industry, changing the company’s tray sector that found and rebuilding tourism”, the company, with more than 50,000 employees, said in a statement.
It was considered one of the richest men in the world with a fortune estimated at 40,000 million dollars.
It was one of the first major donors to support Donald Trump’s 2016 candidacy, of which I am close, and his influence on the Conservative movement extends over the years.
One of its principals causes Israel’s defense, and is among the principals invited in 2018 to the opening ceremony of the new embassy of the EU in Jerusalem, sponsored by Trump.
The Venetian casino, in Las Vegas, will be one of the largest exponents of the Adelson concept for a game and tourism: a convention center, Las Vegas Strip hotel and game center adorned with Venetian style, replete restaurants with a wide range of canals and monuments of cardboard.
Adelson, nacido and Boston in 1933 and the provision of periodicals, era of the proprietor of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the only big diary that respected Trump’s candidacy in 2016.
The magnate planned in 2013 the expansion of its empire of casinos in Spain, with the creation of Eurovegas, a giant tourist complex and the game to the south of Madrid, but differences over the legal exceptions that demand Adelson frustrated the multimillionaire inversion.
