The National Prize of Cine 2010, Raúl Pérez Ureta, failed this Wednesday in La Habana at the age of 79, confirmed by Lourdes de los Santos, President of the Association of Cine, Radio and Television in the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba ( UNEAC).
“His remains will be cremated in addition to his volunteer. Countless movies, documentation and notifications ICAIC finds a large number of unimaginable talent. It is a great loss for Cuban culture. Read family and friends our condolences, ”wrote Santos in his Facebook profile.
Pérez Ureta nation in Sancti Spíritus and realized studies of Periodism, cinematographic specialization and theatrical actuation. Started working at ICAIC as Assistant to the Animation Room in 1961.

Various of these films were shared with Cuban directors such as Daniel Díaz Torres, Gerardo Chijona, Orlando Rojas. Also shared with extras director like Fernando Birri and Ruy Guerra, among others.
He was also promoted to professor of photography at the International School of Cinema, TV and video of San Antonio de los Baños. At the time of its inauguration it was a member of the Uneac and the Union of Periodists of Cuba.
