An employee of the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York has been suspended without pay and is expected to be fired from his post after his employer identified him as one of the rioters at the Capitol this week. Will Pepe is a laborer for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York and apparently called in sick on the day of the attack. “This alleged conduct is heinous and is contrary to the values of Metro North, New York and the country,” the MTA said in a statement confirming Pepe’s suspension. The union representing Pepe said his behavior was “disappointing” and that he did not know it before. Pepe was spotted at the Capitol on one of the many photos the FBI circulated this week to identify and charge charges against members of a pro-Trump mob that stormed the U.S. capital. The photo shows Pepe smiling and looking at his phone.
