MSI also confirms that motherboards from the B560 series will receive memory overclocking support. MSI’s B560 series will be equipped with at least 6 PCB layers, enabling them to handle high – speed memory signal transmission. The top model of the B560I Gaming Edge WiFi supports memory overclocking speeds of up to DDR4-5200 MHz, while the rest of the range can handle speeds up to DDR4-5066 MHz.
MSI Z590 & B560 boards will also come with a new Memory Try It! feature that provides 100 sets of settings for Samsung, Hynix, Micron, Nanya, PSC, CXMT, Spectek memory ICs with Comet Lake, and up to 500 sets with Rocket Lake CPUs.
In addition to memory overclocking, MSI 500 series will support motherboards (Z590, B560, H510) with open power support. While you can’t overclock your 10th or 11th generation Intel processors on B560 and H510 boards, you can get unlimited power limitations that allow you to maintain boost clocks for longer periods of time, but at the expense of higher power consumption. You can choose different power limitation profiles based on your cooling. The power limits increase to 255W (PL2) with a current limit of 210 amps.
