‘Mrs. Doubtfire fans maintain that there are rumors of NC-17 after viral tweet

Mrs. Doubtfire was perhaps a naughty caretaker.

Fans of the 1993 film starring Robin Williams are demanding to see the racial NC-17 version of the film a viral tweet suggested it existed. The Twitter account Film Facts claims that the late actor ‘improvises’ so much during the filming of the director directed by Chris Columbus, that’ that there are PG, PG-13, R and NC-17 clips of the film was. ‘

Now users of Twitter are begging to get their hands on this risky cut.

“The public deserves to see the NC-17 Mrs. Doubtfire,” wrote one fan. “NC 17 Miss. Doubtfire is what the world needs after more than a year Covid,” climbed into another.

Some users even joked about giving up their $ 1,400 stimulus checks for a chance to see this iconic version of the movie, which eventually had a PG-13 rating.

The existence of R and NC-17 rated versions of ‘Mrs. Doubtfire ‘stems from a Yahoo Entertainment interview in 2015 with Columbus, who praised the star “Mork & Mindy” for his incredible acting and improvisational skills.

Williams was “undoubtedly the best actor I’ve ever worked with,” said the director, who is also known for “Home Alone.”

He explained that in order to better facilitate Williams’ gift for improvisation, several cameras were placed at all angles – such as taking a documentary – to best capture the comic actor’s facial expressions.

“In the dinner at the end of the film, for example, the other actors had no idea what he was going to say,” Columbus said. “And it got their expressions and reactions when they ever heard him say something like that.”

With Williams ‘ability to spit jokes quickly, Columbus has four different versions of’ Mrs. Doubtfire ‘on the editing floor. “Literally a PG-rated version of the movie, PG-13, R and NC-17,” he revealed.

Mara Wilson, who played Williams’ daughter in the film, also confirmed that there may be an R rating somewhere, as the star wanted to push boundaries and test limits.

‘I do not know about NC-17, but about some things [Robin] said, I’m sure there was probably an R-cut somewhere, ‘the actress, now 33, said in 2016 on Logo’s’ Cocktails & Classics’.

Fans will still somehow get a different version of the character, as the story has been turned into a musical – even though the premiere on Broadway is due to the coronavirus pandemic in the waiting period.
