Mousquetaire Widowmaker unveils for Overwatch Archives event

The Ear Watch Archive event always takes players on a journey to the past. But this time, it seems that some skins go back a long way.

Widowmaker’s skin for the 2021 archive event, which kicks off on April 6, is the first to be unveiled.

Mousquetaire Widowmaker transforms the sniper into an 18th-century sniper. Her outfit is modeled on the legendary French mousquetaires, also known as musketeers. Widowmaker’s usual outfit was replaced with a tunic with a fleur-de-lis and she now wears a musketeer hat, complete with a fine plume.

Her regular rifle, the Widow’s Kiss, has received a retro update that matches Widowmaker’s throwback outfit. The high-tech sniper rifle now looks like a musket with gold details and a wood finish.

Musketeers were known for protecting the royal family and being daring, charismatic warriors. Widowmaker might borrow their dramatic style, but she’s probably just going to protect herself.

The Ear Watch Archiving event usually focuses on a single ‘Archives’ PvE mission, placing four players in scenarios that were important Ear Watch‘s past. Although many fans can expect a new scenario, you should note that the development team is working hard to develop such missions Overwatch 2 and new content may not be available.

However, new challenges and skins are absolutely guaranteed. All the new cosmetics will be announced when the Ear Watch Archive event begins on April 6th.
