The launch of Oculus Quest 2 seems to have been a boon for both Facebook and Quest developers, as the company’s latest standalone VR headset now has more than $ 1 million milestones, now exceeding 60 games brought.
Facebook announced in September that more than 35 apps in the Oculus Store for Quest had raised more than $ 1 million, making more than $ 150 million in app sales. The number speaks to the popularity of the original Quest, which received much praise when it was launched in May 2019.
Then, in October 2020, Quest 2 was launched, and the luxury $ 300 standalone app sales seem to have accelerated significantly.
Facebook has a rough outline of how many apps not only broke the $ 1 million milestone, but also generated more than $ 10 million in revenue. Here is the chart below, shared by Oculus VP of product Mike Verdu in a company blog post.

This is an incredible amount, but what’s more surprising is that one in three paid programs in the Oculus Store for Quest earns more than $ 1 million in revenue, Verdu reveals.
Some of the best earning titles on Quest include Beat Saber, further, and Population: A, all of which generated more than $ 10 million in revenue. Verdu does not provide a more detailed breakdown, but we can bet that the regular faces from our monthly report on the best and valued Quest programs will appear on the list.
