President Joe Biden has been in office for one month, and recent polls have shown that so far more than 50 percent of Americans view his performance favorably.
Biden moved to the White House last month with the support of more than two-thirds of Americans, and his first few days showed approval ratings as high as 63 percent – a number greater than any of former President Donald Trump’s ratings during his term.
Now, with 30 days in office, Biden still has the support of more than half of Americans, though his approval tends to fall heavily along party lines.
According to the FiveThirtyEight poll, 54.4 percent of Americans vote for Biden’s presidency one month, while 38.1 percent do not approve. According to the data, the number has remained relatively constant since Biden’s first week in office, when he approved 53 percent.
A recent Ipsos poll conducted Feb. 17-18 also found that 56 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s performance. The poll, however, fell largely below party lines, with 90 percent of Democrats favoring the president, while only 20 percent of Republicans have approved the president’s action so far.
And in one of the highest rankings the president has yet to receive, 62 percent of registered voters approved Biden in a Morning Consult / Politico poll from February 14 to 15.
“It looks like Americans are looking at what’s happening in the Biden White House after four years of the Trump administration, and they say ‘this is something we can come up with,'” Politico‘s Eugene Daniels told MSNBC about the poll.
According to daily polls by Rasmussen Reports, Biden has maintained a constant approval rating of between 48 and 53 percent since first entering service.

During his first few weeks as president, Biden continued with a number of executive actions to reverse the Trump administration’s orders and to focus on issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and racial equality.
Although his ratings have remained high in his first month compared to Trump, Biden’s approval over the next few months will likely depend on how he handles the coronavirus pandemic.
So far, nearly 59 percent of Americans approve of his COVID-19 actions, according to a FiveThirtyEight tracker updated Friday.
But again, those numbers have largely fallen along party lines, with 90 percent of Democrats supporting the president’s efforts, while 53.6 percent of independents, and only 24 percent of Republicans.
Congress is now pushing for Biden’s $ 1.9 billion coronavirus relief package. Democratic lawmakers have indicated they are prepared to pass the bill, called the U.S. bailout plan, without Republican support in the coming weeks.
If approved, the promotion of Americans will be eligible for $ 1,400 stimulus checks, as well as extensive unemployment benefits, business assistance and food and rent relief.
