A Spanish streamer called “TheGrefg” broke Twitch records at the same time for most viewers, with more than 2.4 million simultaneous viewers at one point Monday afternoon.
“TheGrefg”, whose real name is David Cánovas Martínez, debuts his new skin in the hugely popular game “Fortnite”.
The new skin is part of the ‘Icon Series’ of ‘Fortnite’ skins, which includes other well-known streamers – such as Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Lachlan Ross Power and Kathleen ‘Loserfruit’ Belsten – that players can use in the game.

Previous Twitch records for simultaneous viewers were compiled by the aforementioned Ninja, which also streams ‘Fortnite’, as well as less likely sources – such as representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and NASA.
TheGrefg has received praise from fellow streamers, even though its stream is still running.
“2.4 million live viewers on his Fortnite skin debut! Congratulations @TheGrefg,” said Ninja. “Absolute monster and you deserve it.” Mark Reins, vice president of Epic Games, the company that manufactures ‘Fortnite’, also watched. “Amazing! We love our @FortniteGame Spanish community !!” he said.
