“A decision has been made on this presidential election and it is time for the country to move forward,” the letter reads. “Elected President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have won … There should be no further delay in the orderly transfer of power.”
The letter was published Monday by the nonprofit Partnership for New York City, a key advocacy group for the business community.
The group’s CEO, Kathryn Wylde, says that in addition to the initial signatories, requested other business leaders to sign up to the letter.
On Wednesday, Congress will meet to confirm the election results in a normal process. But at least 140 House Republicans and a dozen Senate Republicans are preparing to vote against Biden’s victory in a push to reverse the election results, despite no evidence of widespread voter fraud.
