Cloudy skies did not bring much rain to Santa Barbara County on Saturday as the first of three storms blew through the region.

Rainfall detection from the public works showed from 16:00 on Saturday that most provincial areas had received less than 0.3 centimeters during the previous 24 hours.

“The first of a series of three storm systems will move through the region tonight, and then a stronger storm system is expected for Sunday afternoon to Monday with better chances of rain and mountain snow,” the National Weather Service said in its forecast. discussion.

There have been reports of the dusting of snow at higher altitudes, and in various places there are accumulations of hail.

A cold storm is expected to penetrate the province on Sunday night and Monday, and according to the National Weather Service, local daytime temperatures will drop to 50s early next week.

Snow levels from the storm are expected to be 3,500 feet to 4,000 feet on Sunday night and heights to 1,500 feet to 2,500 feet on Monday.
