Monster Hunter Rise

Total shipments and digital sales for Monster Hunter Rise surpassed five million units worldwide, Capcom announced.

Monster Hunter Rise launched worldwide for Switch on March 26 and surpassed four million shipments and digital sales on March 29. A PC version is planned for release in early 2022.

In comparison, Monster Hunter: World shipped five million units in the same time. With the launch, Monster Hunter: World was available for PlayStation 4 worldwide, and for Xbox One in North America and Europe.

Here is an overview of the game via Capcom:

Monster Hunter Rise is a novelty Monster Hunter title for Nintendo Switch. The game was developed with Capcom’s own RE ENGINE to offer a new, accessible Monster Hunter experience that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere and with anyone. In addition to new monsters and locations, the game offers the hunting experience completely fresh through a series of new, exciting hunting actions made possible with the Wirebug. This allows players to traverse rocky cliffs, soar at high speeds and at high speeds through the Wall Run, or even bind and control monsters. The debut of new “canine” hunting partners called Palamutes, which can drive the hunters to navigate the maps quickly, further increases the excitement. The title received much praise after the release of two demos featuring local and online collaborative gameplay before its launch, with the resulting shipments reaching more than five million units one week since release.
