Monster Hunter Rise Khezu unveils in new ad

Sharp-eared fans of the series heard Khezu’s cry Monster Hunter Rise‘s TGA 2020 trailer, but it did not make an appearance then. However, the “Charging Wyvern” was officially revealed in a new ad for the game in Japan.

Look at the “Monster Hunter Rise TV Commercial Teaser Compilation ”video below. It gives us a look at Khezu at the point 0:15. Other than that, the ad mostly consists of footage of the TGA 2020 trailer.

Khezu originally appeared in the very first Monster Hunter game for the PlayStation 2. The wyvern has previously appeared in Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter Generations. It did not appear in Monster Hunter: World.

We also looked again at the new samples Somnacanth and Bishaten in the ad. Somnacanth is a Leviathan that looks similar to Mizutsune. Bishaten is a new Fanged Beast similar to Kecha Wacha, and it can throw the fruit and store it.

Monster Hunter Rise will not introduce new weapons, but it does contain various new actions and moves for all fourteen weapons. Look at the weapons to see what has changed:

Monster Hunter Rise will be released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. A demo will appear for a limited time in January 2021.
