Monster Hunter Rise gets a new demo, while Stories 2 gets a release date • Eurogamer.net

We’re just a matter of a few weeks away from the release of Monster Hunter Rise, the temporary Switch Exclusive that wants to be one of the biggest titles of the year, but let’s not forget that it will soon be followed by Monster Hunter Stories does not. 2: Wings of Ruin – and the RPG spin-off now has a final release date, and it’s going to hit worldwide on July 9th.

The original Monster Hunter Stories appeared in 2017 and attempts to merge the traditional RPG game / monster capture of Pokémon with the world of Monster Hunter with any success.

Capcom also took the opportunity to announce a new demo for Monster Hunter Rise, extending the life of the original demo, while adding a new, sticky-as-nails quest, featuring players Rise’s distinctive beastie Magnamalos takes on. It will be available on the eShop from March 11.

After release on March 26, Monster Hunter Rise will also receive free updates, with the first to increase the HR cap and launch a new monster in the form of Chameleos.

2021 is becoming the year for Monster Hunter. It’s all so exciting that it’s almost enough to inspire me to wait through the recently released Monster Hunter movie. Or maybe not.
