Monster Hunter Rise Demo Frame Rate and Resolution Revealed

The Monster Hunter Rise demo will work at 756p while in docked mode and 540p while playing the game in portable or tabletop mode.

Capcom introduces another entry in the Monster Hunter series in just a few months with Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch. To get the hang of it, Capcom has released a demo that players can familiarize themselves with before launching the game in March. With the demo in the hands of players, we have now seen what specifications we are going to work with.

VG Tech (via Nintendo Life) took a closer look at the latest entry into the series and they can confirm that the demo runs at stable 30 FPS, even during more demanding parts of the game. This is in both docked and manual mode.

As for the resolution, you will not overtake it. In docked mode, VG Tech reported that the game is rendered at a resolution of 1344 × 756, with the UI at 1920 × 1080. While in portable mode, the games are rendered at 960 × 540 and the UI at 1280 × 720.

We all know that the Nintendo Switch is nowhere near a technical powerhouse. These specifications should therefore not be disappointing.

It should also be noted that these findings from the demo of Monster Hunter Rise, not the official release. Since the game is still a few months away, it is quite possible that it may change at some point.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26 for the Nintendo Switch. Check out DualShockers’ demo of the demo for more information on the game.
