Capcom, which was initially announced as a Switch exclusive, has just confirmed that Rise is now coming to a PC – something that was reported a while ago following the Capcom data hack.

In an interview with Fanbyte for an interview, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yasunori Ichinose reveal that the PC version will only be launched in 2022, saying that the port is “still in development.” Nothing has been mentioned about other consoles, so Monster Hunter Rise remains a console for Switch for now.

There’s no reason for Switch fans to worry about this, as the duo have confirmed how they ‘were planning to make a game for the Switch’, well aware of the console’s shortcomings in it. This includes a strong focus on portability. The advice is that the game ‘is able to pick up and play whenever you want’.

As it stands now, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin still remains an exclusive switch. There is no news whether it will also receive a computer port, but we can not exclude it either, as it is cross-compatible with Rise. We are awaiting further details on the functionality, so we will keep you informed of more information.
