Moise announces meddas against violence in Haiti and supports OEA

The President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, announced this month that his Executive is taking a series of mediations to lighten up against the phenomenon of violence affecting the country, for which he has supported the support of the Organization of American States (OEA).

By means of a message posted on Twitter while presiding over an Extraordinary Council of Ministers, the mandate announces the issuance of a decree revising the State of Emergency Law and that habilitate the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to receive the necessary media to lure against crime, including external support to the institution.

A few hours ago, Moise published another message on the platform of an interviewer who was interviewed by the OEA Secretary General, Luis Almagro, “who focuses exclusively on security.”

“During this exchange, I applied for this important technical support from the PNH in order to reduce efficiencies against bandits and terrorism”, the message reads.

Almagro also responded to the interview in its Twitter profile, announcing that Moise had asked “that he burn a strong technical support of the Organization in the age of security”.

The advertisement was produced in response to the high levels of violence that plagued the country, including days after the deaths of four members of the security forces in the district of Village-de-Dieu, where also hereditary agents also act.
