MLB The Show 21 Leak apparently confirms release for Xbox

Sony’s San Diego Studio promises February brings new information MLB The Show 21, but it looks like a new leak hit them in the fist. Assuming this teasing is true, it also confirms one important piece of information related to the series this year.

Posted on Instagram by user Anerdydad, the cover art of MLB The Show 21 seems to have been revealed. While this would not normally be a major issue in itself, it is noteworthy that one of the pieces of art released has confirmed that the game will hit Xbox platforms in 2021. It was something we expected to happen this year, but San Diego Studio had yet to confirm it itself.

As for the cover art itself, MLB The Show 21 contains Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres. Tatis Jr. is one of the young stars of Major League Baseball and had a breakout season in 2020. To see him appear in the art for MLB The Show 21 this year is not a big shock at all as he has quickly come to stars over the past year.

What can be seen about this year MLB The Show title has been moved forward or it will also come to other platforms. Earlier it was said that Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game will be coming in the future, along with a release for Xbox. Given the fact that it now looks like this Xbox version is finally going to happen, it is safe to assume that other platforms will launch after that as well.

At the moment there is still a lot to learn about MLB The Show 21 but we must soon begin to hear more. With February starting next week, there’s a decent show that San Diego Studio can start talking more about this title in a few days.

How do you feel about this development then? Would you possibly pick up MLB The Show 21 if it finally comes to non-PlayStation platforms this year? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter at @ MooreMan12.
