Mitch McConnell’s house in Kentucky vandalized with graffiti: ‘Where’s my money’

Senate leader Mitch McConnell’s home in Louisville was vandalized overnight, and the graffiti suggests a possible political motivation, according to reports.

McConnell’s Highlands home in Kentucky was discovered Saturday morning with remarkable messages, including ‘where is my money’, ‘Mitch kills the poor’ and explicit. The graffiti could be seen in photos posted online.

In a statement Saturday morning, McConnell condemned the act while reiterating his support for rights for First Amendment.

“I fought my career for the first amendment and defended peaceful protests,” the statement said. “I appreciate every Kentuckian who has entered the democratic process, whether they agree with me or not.”

“It’s different,” he continues. “Vandalism and the politics of fear have no place in our society.”

“My wife and I have never been intimidated by this toxic playbook. We just hope our neighbors in Louisville are not too hurt by this radical rage.”

The messages appear to point to McConnell’s refusal to vote on $ 2,000 stimulus checks after the House passed a measure earlier this week.

The Senate adjourned Friday without any motion on the bill, meaning the next Congress will have to look into the possibility of further assistance with the pandemic.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, also saw her home in San Francisco being vandalized, with messages demanding that she “cancel rent” over her garage door being scratched.

According to the Courier-Journal, Louisville metro police are investigating the McConnell incident. The department could not be reached for comment Saturday.
