‘Mission: Impossible’, ‘A Quiet Place’, continues on Paramount + 45 days after the theaters hit

Paramount adapts to the changing schedule for the film’s release by planning to place two of its upcoming properties on Paramount +, CBS ‘new streaming service.

During the ViacomCBS Streaming Event presentation on Wednesday, it was announced that ‘Mission: Impossible 7’, ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ and ‘Paw Patrol: The Movie’ will be available in theaters 45 days after their premiere.

‘Mission: Impossible 7’ is scheduled to hit theaters on November 17, while ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ is slated for a debut on September 17 and ‘Paw Patrol’ on August 20.

In addition, other titles will appear on the streaming service in 2022 after their theatrical premieres or in some cases after their pay-TV debuts, including “Top Gun: Maverick” and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 “.

Paramount has tweaked its pay-TV output deal with Epix to boost the movies they offer, which include 2,500 titles.

The move comes as the coronavirus pandemic continues and continues to keep movie theaters closed in major markets such as New York and Los Angeles, though the theaters in New York plan to reopen next month.

A SILENT PLACE PART II ‘BECOMES A THIRD TIME AGAIN FOR THE NEW DATE OF 2021

Paramount quickly sold its properties during the pandemic to maintain finances. The studio has covered the awards sweetheart ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ to Netflix and ‘Coming 2 America’ to Amazon.

However, highly deserving features such as the ‘Top Gun’ sequel – as well as’ Mission ‘Impossible 7’ and ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ – remained with the studio.

‘A Quiet Place Part II’ starring Emily Blunt and Noah Jupe will follow the release pattern of ‘Mission: Impossible 7’.

The 45-day theater window is much shorter than the 90-day window that is expected to be honored by studios during the days before the pandemic, but is much more spacious for theaters than Warner Bros. ‘plan, which sends their 2021 films to HBO Max on the same day as their theatrical debut.
