Miranda Lambert on recent hit-and-run accident: ‘We fishtailed pretty good’

The 37-year-old country star took to Instagram on Thursday to share a narrow moment on the road with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

The ‘Bluebird’ singer shared a handful of photos of a silver camper soaking in a sunset, as well as a photo of herself in the camper, her dogs sleeping together and a video of the damage done to the camper gained during a recent trip.

“You all made Nashville home.” A few days earlier than planned, ‘Lambert wrote in the caption.

She says she stopped in Greensboro, GA, near Lake Oconee and chose to stay an extra night “because it was so beautiful.”

After an evening of friends over dinner, the couple had an intense encounter on the road.

‘Unfortunately on the way home through Atlanta, a hole in a small car with temp plates drove illegally and tried to push between us and [a] a semi-truck driving 70 on I-20 W, ‘Lambert recalls.’ It hit the air stream on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane. We fished pretty well, but climbed on the shoulder as quickly as possible to determine the damage. ‘

“No one was hurt,” the star assured her fans, but added that “no one stopped either and the car drove away.”

“We are so thankful that nothing worse happened. Our vehicle and trailer were steerable, so we reported and towed home,” she said. ‘I immediately called mum to say that I know her prayers are always heard because I know she prays for us every morning at 4:30. Especially when we’re on our way. ‘

The singer also praised her for keeping the trailer ‘fairly stable because she was killed’.

“Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we will be restored soon, and we will soon return to our vagabond way,” Lambert concluded. “Either way, it was an amazing trip overall and we learned that we have a lot to see and a lot to be thankful for.”
