Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, were involved in a hit-and-run accident in Georgia on their way back to Nashville.
The 37-year-old country star posted the scary news on her Instagram. She accompanied the story with a series of images and videos of the trip, using the caption to explain what happened.
‘You all came to Nashville. A few days earlier than planned, ‘she wrote. “On the way back we stopped in Greensboro, GA, to have some quiet days at Lake Oconee. I actually chose the place for an overnight stay because it mapped out perfectly for our trip, but when we got there, I did not want to leave. We stayed an extra day because it was so beautiful. (And we had no more clothes and needed to do laundry) I had to work too, so why do not you have a view while zooming? ‘
The “Gunpowder & Lead” singer said they were looking for a place to get dinner and found a hotel for the KOA campsite ten minutes later.
“Unfortunately on the way home through Atlanta, an a-hole in a small car with temp plates drove illegally and tried to squeeze between me and a semi-truck on I-20 W,” Lambert explained . ‘It hit the air stream on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane. We fished pretty well, but climbed on the shoulder as quickly as possible to determine the damage. No one was hurt, thank good God. But also no one stops and the car drives away. ‘
She goes on to add, ‘We are so thankful that nothing worse has happened. Our vehicle and trailer were drivable, so we reported and drove home. ”
Lambert believes her mother was spiritually the divine intervention they needed that day. “I immediately called Mom to say that I know her prayers are always heard, because I know she prays for us every morning around 4:30,” she said, adding, “Especially when we’re on our way.”
She also praised her husband’s driving skills. “And @brendanjmcloughlin kept our trailer pretty stable because we were sidelined,” she said. “Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we will be restored soon and back to our vagabond ways again. Anyway, it was a wonderful trip and we learned that we have a lot to see and a lot to be thankful for. “
Lambert and McLoughlin are approaching their two-year wedding anniversary after breaking the deadlock in February 2019. Last December, the couple sent out lovely Christmas cards that included a collage of Lambert with McLoughlin and their animals with the message: ‘Merry Christmas from the farmily. ”
In November 2020, her husband also wrote a lovely letter to Lambert in honor of her 37th birthday. He shares a collection of photos of the country singer, and writes in the caption: “Just wanted to wish a wonderful birthday to my wonderful wife.”
“I’m not only grateful, but I’m also proud to be able to call you my wife,” he continued. ‘You’re the most genuine and caring person I’ve ever met. The amount of rescue dogs we have says it all. You do your best to make sure that those around you are always happy. ‘
“The list is endless of all the reasons I love you, but there is one that has a special place,” he added. ‘This is how you stay true to who you are. No matter what obstacles life has put in the way, you have always remained faithful in your heart and it says more than you will ever know.
