The Ministry of Health has expanded a pilot plan for the development of sanitary attention in the works of the Teleconsulta.

This plan seeks to remotely monitor remote medical attention, with medical personnel idono, to 60-year-olds with chronic illnesses in their home.

The initiative establishes the patient’s citation through telephone calls of agreement to a data base that keeps Minsa in established areas; then there is the solicitation of laboratories by electronic means for patients to be able to withdraw the same in their most health centers.

Among other benefits, teleconsulting reduces the time of hope, increases preventive attention and reduces austerity.

The pilot plan will prioritize the San Miguelito sector, and the Metropolitan Region, and will initially be located in the health centers of Torrijos Carter, Nuevo Veranillo and the Parque Lefevre Police Center.

It is planned to extend the Teleconsultant’s consultation attention to the regions of Panama E East, Panama North and Panama West to approximately one month.
