LAS VEGAS – On Wednesday, there was a daring lineup in Minnesota Wild’s morning skates at T-Mobile Arena.
As an effect on his overtime shift when the Vegas Golden Knights drew Monday night’s game with an extra striker, Zach Parise will not play again in Wednesday’s power play. In addition to resting before the playoffs, Paris will be a healthy crab for the first time in his Wild career and only the second time in his 16-year NHL career.
While Paris was skating with the taxi team after the rest of his teammates left the ice, coach Dean Evason did not want to give details as to why Paris was sitting, but only to say that the decision was made as staff. But a disappointed Parisian confirmed that he was told during a meeting on Tuesday that it was because of his last shift.
“And I do not agree with the decision,” Paris said.
